Audio Noise Reduction

Audio Noise Reduction reduces steady noise in microphone recordings, such as fans, air conditioning, or a quiet electrical hum. It applies to the project's microphone tracks and uses the same setting in editor playback and the final export.

Open Audio Noise Reduction

Click Audio Noise Reduction in the timeline toolbar. Play a passage that contains both speech and room noise while switching presets so you can hear the difference.

Choose a Strength

• Off applies no reduction.
• Light lowers light, steady noise in an otherwise clean recording.
• Standard balances noise reduction with voice detail.
• Strong is intended for obvious background noise; check quiet speech and sentence endings carefully.

Expand Advanced Options to adjust intensity from 0% to 100%. Reducing the value close to 0% turns the processing off.

Review the Result

Listen to a quiet passage, normal speech, and soft speech. If consonants, word endings, or breaths sound unnatural, move down one preset or reduce the intensity.
