Aspect Ratio
ScreenSage Pro offers flexible canvas adjustment. Whether you're making vertical TikTok shorts or standard 16:9 YouTube videos, switch instantly from the top toolbar.
Quick Start
Change your recording's aspect ratio in three steps:
Find the Canvas Ratio icon in the editor toolbar (shows a rectangle or current ratio value).
A panel appears with three categories:
- Common Ratios
- Platform Presets
- Custom Size
Click your desired ratio (e.g., 9:16 Portrait) β the canvas adjusts instantly. For custom sizes, enter dimensions and click Apply.
Detailed Options
Three adjustment modes for different needs:
1. Common Ratios
Basic ratio settings for general use:
- Original: Keep original recording resolution
- 16:9 Landscape: Standard widescreen for desktop and YouTube
- 9:16 Portrait: Vertical for mobile fullscreen viewing
- 1:1 Square: Common for social media feeds
- 4:3 Landscape: A traditional landscape frame
- 3:4 Portrait: A compact portrait frame
2. Platform Presets
Not sure about pixel requirements? Choose your target platform directly:
- App Store iPhone: Portrait, modern landscape, and 16:9 landscape variants
- App Store iPad: Portrait and landscape variants
- App Store TV: 1920x1080 landscape output
- Instagram Story / Post: 1080x1920 story and 1080x1080 post sizes
- TikTok: 1080x1920 portrait output
- YouTube HD: 1920x1080 landscape output
3. Custom Size
In the Custom Size tab, manually enter Width and Height in pixels.
Use this for non-standard resolutions like outdoor displays or web banners. Click the blue Apply button when done.
