Background Effects

ScreenSage Pro's Background panel lets you customize the background around your recording, and fine‑tune spacing and shadows so the video looks sharper and more refined.

Open the Background Panel

• In the top‑right toolbar, click the Background icon (image‑style button).
• The Background panel opens on the right side of the editor.

Choose a Background Type

• In the Type section, pick a background style to fill the area around the recording:
  • None: Show only the recorded screen, with no extra background.
  • macOS: Surround the recording with built‑in macOS wallpapers.
  • Light / Gradient / Color: Use built‑in light themes, gradients, or solid color backdrops.
• Click any thumbnail to instantly apply it around the centered recording.

Style & Fine‑Tuning

• In Style, switch between presets like Classic, Simple, and Prominent for quick window looks.
• Use the sliders below for precise control:
  • Corner Radius: Adjust how rounded the recording card corners are.
  • Padding: Control space between the recording card and the video frame.
  • Shadow Size / Shadow Opacity: Set shadow spread and intensity so the card pops off the background.
  • Gaussian Blur: Blur the backdrop to keep focus on foreground content.
