Style Stabilization

Reduce visual noise caused by rapid cursor style changes.

  • The problem
When you move the mouse quickly across text fields or complex UI, the cursor can flicker between the arrow and other shapes (such as text selectors), creating a cluttered, distracting look.

  • The solution
Use Style Stabilization to control how aggressively ScreenSage filters these high‑frequency switches:

    • Exact: Baseline behavior; shows every native cursor change.
    • Gentle: Lightly filters out very short‑lived flicker while preserving meaningful state changes. Recommended for most tutorials.
    • Strong: Aggressively ignores transient switches and keeps the cursor locked to a stable, unified shape.

Animation & Behavior

  • Animation Style
Control the motion “feel” of the cursor:

    • None: Replays the raw cursor path, including micro jitters and pauses.
    • Smooth / Medium / Rapid: Apply different levels of path smoothing to remove small irregular shakes and create a more fluid motion profile.
  • Auto-hide Cursor When Idle Choose Do not auto-hide, Hide after short idle, Hide after standard idle, or Hide after long idle. Advanced options let you set an exact idle duration and hide the cursor at the start of a recording until the first mouse event.

Click Feedback

ScreenSage Pro's cursor features tactile and impactful dynamic click feedback. It automatically triggers a zoom animation upon clicking, simulating a realistic physical press to make every interaction instantly come alive.

PRO TIP

For most product demos, a medium cursor size, Gentle stabilization, and Smooth animation create a clear yet comfortable viewing experience without drawing unnecessary attention to the cursor.
