Edit Your First Video

ScreenSage Pro keeps the recorded media on a video track and places explanatory effects on dedicated time ranges. Start with the video content, then add only the tracks that help the viewer understand it.

Read the Editor

  • The preview canvas shows the current composition and supports direct framing for tools such as zoom, masks, and 3D motion.
  • The timeline organizes video, zoom, caption, camera layout, mask, 3D, keystroke, and music content.
  • The Inspector shows controls for the currently selected clip or range.

Use the Interface Overview for the main surfaces and the Track System when you need to find a specific track.

Build the Base Edit

  1. Select the video clip and drag its edges to remove unwanted material at the beginning or end.
  2. Split at the playhead when a mistake or waiting period must be removed from the middle.
  3. Set the Canvas and Aspect Ratio before arranging content for horizontal or vertical delivery.
  4. Adjust Speed and Volume only where the recording needs a pacing or audio correction.

For longer recordings, Smart Clipping can shorten detected quiet gaps. Review the analysis before applying it to the timeline.
