Interaction Recording

Interaction recording saves mouse, keyboard, and text-cursor events alongside the video. Cursor effects, click highlights, auto zooms, text-cursor zooms, and keystroke overlays depend on this data.

Check Permissions

Keyboard tracking and some interaction features require macOS Accessibility permission. The first time you use them, follow the prompt to open System Settings and allow ScreenSage Pro.

If permission is missing, video recording can still work, but keystroke overlays, click feedback, or text-cursor effects may be incomplete.

What Gets Recorded

Depending on the recording mode and permission status, ScreenSage Pro can save:

• Mouse movement and click events for cursor animation, click feedback, and automatic following.
• Keyboard events for the Keystroke track and shortcut overlays.
• Text-cursor positions for text-cursor zooms.

These events are stored as project resources. You normally do not need to open the raw event files.

Use Events After Recording

After recording, continue refining the related effects in the editor:

• Use Cursor Effects to adjust cursor appearance and movement.
• Use the Zoom System for automatic following, manual zooms, and text-cursor following.
• Use Keystroke Display to control how keyboard input appears.
